The Dreaded Day

Hi all, I can't believe I have already begun to slack off on the posting! This is what happened last time and I was determined not to let it happen again with my new blog! Anyway, things have been crazy around here lately. I know not all of you know, but tomorrow I am having a gynological related surgery at 7 am at Women's Hospital. It is called a Vestibulectomy. It is a really uncomfortable surgery to talk about on here, so you can google it if you want to know more. I will be off my feet for about 2 1/2 weeks and hopefully can go back to work after that. The entire recovery process is about 8 - 9 weeks. Its an outpatient surgery with a serious recovery time! Just so you know, I am already TERRIFIED! Not so much about the surgery, but the aftermath. I didn't sleep last night, and I hoping that some Benedryl will help me tonight. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am so really there's almost no point in even TRYING to sleep, but I will give it a whirl! Your prayers would be much appreciated! It will be days before I post again but I will give you an update on things.
XOXO

Officially a TV Freak!!

So I have always loved TV way to much, but it wasn't until recently when I actually sat down and made my list of exactly what shows are TIVO'd every single day, that I realized I really am a TV freak. Not that you care, but here is my list of TV shows that I record (and watch every single recording):
Mondays: The Bachelor (duh!)
Tuesdays: 90210 (the new one)
Privilaged
American Idol
Wednesday: American Idol
Lie to Me
Thursdays: Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice
EVERYDAY: The Ellen Show

I love all these shows, and there would just be no way to cut a few!!Speaking of The Bachelor and Ellen, Jillian was on her show Monday. She is so cute and I wish she would be the next Bachelorette! And What the heck was up with Grey's Anatomy last night? I mean at least it was better than last weeks, and I cannot believe I am saying this, but the only good thing out of last night's show was Lexie and McSteamy! I personally love them together!

Anyhow, I am off to work this morning! I will post again later if I stumble upon something fabulous, or something eventful happens to me!

Lazy Day Off

I love my days off! This morning, I peeled myself out of bed about 9:00 and decided to make some homemade blueberry pancakes, topped with fresh strawberries..yum! They were delicious!!! Only now, I FOR SURE have to go to the gym today :-( Usually on my days off, at least lately, I have so much to cram in for those two days. But this week, I can just do things at my leisure. I do have a bible study today and I am babysitting tonight, but that's about it!

I do plan on visiting my best friend Ashley and her precious new baby girl, Evy Kate on my days off - probably tomorrow! She is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen (obviously you can see from the picture below how sweet she is!)

You know, speaking of babies, I have had a baby itch for about 3 months that keeps getting worse and worse everyday (I mean, not that it is a bad thing, it just is when the timing is not right)! At first I just couldn't tell if it was because everyone I seem to know is pregnant or if I was really ready, and then I realized that it was a little bit of both. And if the itch is not bad enough, for the past month every store I go in, it seems that they display baby stuff right by the front door...what is up with that?? AND because I have a severe itch, I am noticing more and more pregnant strangers everywhere! It's kind of like my itch for a Nissan Murano. My poor car can't go much farther, and so Drew and I are looking at getting me a used Nissan Murano. It seems like everywhere I look, there is one. They park right next to me in parking lots, right in front of the window at the gym where I am walking on the treadmill, and right next to me on the interstate! I do not like itches!!!

So I have resorted to keeping myself busy with other things when I start "itching" - like shopping online. Check out these fab shoes from Forever21 that I want for spring - cheap and chic!

That's all I have for now....I am sure I will post again later today out of boredom.
XOXO!

Happy Valentines!!!

Valentine's, oh Valentine's Day. Our first romantic holiday together as a married couple, and it was no short of fabulous! Drew and I are in Tupelo this weekend. He was working at a clinic here this weekend to try to earn some precious extra cash for his high-maintenance wife! JUST KIDDING - about the high maintenance part :-) He worked all day today, and apart from a fancy dinner tonight, I just assumed I was not getting a present. Well, first of all, we agreed no presents this year (we are buying a big screen tv - well HE is buying that, I should say) and I am having surgery in March so we really didn't figure we needed to spend the money. And second of all, I checked all of his luggage while he was at work, just to make sure he didn't have the David Yurman ring I want in there!!!
SO, leave it up to me to find a gourmet chocolate store in Tupelo, and I took it upon myself to go in an hand select each savory piece of chocolate and have them wrap it up, as a gift for myself. But I am clever enough to pick out some of Drew's favorite candies and pass it off as a "gift" to him...heh. But I have to say, that after a FABULOUSLY romantic dinner for two at a French bistro here in town, Drew bought me a pair of Juicy Couture sunglasses! I am SO excited!!! Shame on me for making frugal jokes about him :-)
I love it here in Tupelo. I wouldn't mind if Drew wanted to take a job at the Oncology clinic here. But at the same time, I love Jackson too! But that's a post for another date...
I hope you and yours had a Happy Valentines Day!!!
XOXO!

Hooray For Me!!

So, here I am .... FINALLY!! I started to do this whole "blog" thing before I got married but obviously it was just too much for me! But now, I have decided it was time to revamp my blog and be consistent with it. Now, it's definitely no "I'm an awesome, professionally designed, cool" blog designed, but I created this all by myself, so give me some credit! I really want to start blogging pretty regularly, not that I have extraordinary stories, or even an extraordinary life, but I am sure I can keep you entertained, between stories of my frugal husband and how opposite we are! So I will start my first real entry tomorrow! Thanks for reading!
